Should I chop this leaf? It’s the only yellow one and turned yellow very recently and quickly. I haven’t repotted or fertilized since I got it in November, which is what the planta doctor thing thinks is the problem. Holes are not from pest, previous owner’s cat got into the plant and chewed on it. Please help!

To my understanding: the plant is going to try to send energy into saving this leaf instead of to the growth of the rest of the plant. This leaf will not recover. Cut it!

I generally chop it at the base of the petiole. Sometimes you can even just pull it off, depending on how yellow it is

Should I cut close to the stem?

Yes. If i can just gently pull the whole thing off i will cut close to the stem. Then check it every now and then till it dries up, or softens up enough to remove the rest.
