I went away on vacation a week ago and my poor monstera got overwatered while in the care of a family member :( Only this leaf and a baby one that turned yellow seem to have been affected. The brown one is standing tall and there seems to be a new leaf growing on its stem but the bottom of it is browning already. I have brought it out on my 4 season patio to hopefully dry out the soil enough to help it get back to normal. It seems to be working so far, I have about half an inch of soil dried out along the sides of the pot already. I was wondering if I should I be cutting this leaf off? Or do I wait some more to see if it’ll come back? This is my first time owning a monstera so I am so so grateful to receive any help for you guys! Thanks in advance!!

  1. Autumn

hmm. i would take him out of his pot and check his roots. cut off the rotted ones and clip off the dying leaves. if most of his roots are effected, go ahead and put him in water as if you were propagating him. once the root ball gets bigger, put him back and soil and you should be good! i hope this helps! :)
