I’m fairly new to monstera but I believe the splits come as the plant ages and matures. This is what google says.

Yours is a very healthy looking plant though so carry on what you’re doing.

It depends on how old it is but it may need more light it will also just grow faster with more light and heat

it gets a lot of light but heat might be factor it’s not to close to the vent

No it doesn't need to be close to a vent as long as it's inside it's good but moving it outside in the summer could help if you can

It took mine 3 years to give me fenestrated leaves. Be patient, yours looks super healthy:)

I was in the same boat for a while what worked for me was putting it on a moss pole. One of those plastic ones that you put presoaked moss inside and then feeding the nodes through. I found mine on Amazon. The next leaf didn’t have the holes but the very next one did. I also have mine placed right next to a south facing window. Hope this helps!!

Typically, large leaves start to develop fenestrations when the overall plant span reaches around a meter. You can increase the likelihood by trimming the tiny older leaves at the base.

good to know i might do that as there’s two really small ones at the bottom that haven’t grown and there curled in
