Between my Aurea Variegated Monstera and my Half Moon Albo, I feel like I’m going crazy! At least the white on my Albo is slow to fade, but for some reason, every single time my Aurea Variegated Monstera grows a new leaf, the lime-colored areas start dying on the older leaves—not the darker variegated parts. This has been happening since I bought it, which is why all its remaining leaves are often only halves đŸ˜©. I’ve repotted it, fertilized it, given it more light, less light
 it grows a new leaf, and the lime on the older leaves dies anyway. What’s going on? The second pic is my Lemon Lime Monstera that doesn't do this

    Sounds like you’ve checked everything but the soil. How is the soil? How do the roots look?

    & do you have a light measurement that the plants are receiving? I’ve heard with a lot of the lighter (whiter) variegations the spectrum of light it needs for the rest of the plant to produce energy for growth, while the variegated “color” of the leaf actually produces little-to-no chlorophyll.. Easily prone to rot and decay!! My Tetrasperma albo and my adansonii aurea do the same things with a little too much water/humidity 🙃

      I don't have a meter. I'll invest in one today. This is the leaf today. The original pic I took yesterday. It's like it eats itself once it grows a new leaf. Idk how to explain it. It's fine up until a new leaf comes in. It goes quickly too where as the white on my albo dies slowly and it does it whether a leaf is growing in or not

      The new leaf looks fenestrated too so it can't be doing too bad right 😅
 AI says it may be an unstable cultivar đŸ€·â€â™€ïžâ€Š

    It can’t be bad I just wonder if it’s more on the flowering side of the spectrum and not seedling, so it’s more bright “natural” light
 I feel like anthuriums and a couple others like the purple/blue grow lights

      I see what ya mean. That was another attempt at me trying to figure out a way to help it 😆
 that light shines all day and night but there's sunlight that comes in during the day and an overhead growlight that fills the room
 I moved it next to my bigger monstera who is doing alright. I’ll just keep trying until I figured it out... Thanks for your help!
