I repotted this root bound monstera one week ago and it’s lost 4 leaves which had completely yellowed. And more are yellowing. What could be the issue? I haven’t watered it yet since the repot.

    More context: it was in a 12” pot with no drainage. Very dry and root bound of course. No humidity im assuming it’s about 40 at my workplace

    did you water it during the repot? even if you did, this is a normal response to root stress. it's probably freaking out about being moved from the store and then getting meddled with. give it a week or two longer and see if anything changes. until then, resume as normal

      I did! This is the pot today. I took it home and I plan on keeping it for a few weeks so I can monitor it closer.

    It’s a good practice to only change one thing at a time. I learned about shock with my stunning Jose Buono. I report her and moved her at the same time the seasons were changing and she completely died. I was in total disbelief because she was so healthy. Particularly when we are in seasonal transition it is best not to repot and when you do repot, don’t change anything else for at least a couple weeks. I’m sure she’s gonna do great. Keep an eye on her and listen to what she tells you. 🥰 Godspeed! 💚💚

    I’ve noticed monstera prefer not to have their roots loosened. If it’s root bound i will just fill the new pot with soil in the extra space. I also started to use super thrive when repotting to avoid stress. It’s normal (but can be avoided) to lose a leaf or two when repotting
