I’m pretty sure I need to downsize my monstera’s pot. However I was wondering if I should wait until after it’s done pushing out this leaf? It’s taking its sweet time so far, if so my guess is another week at the least. Also when I downsize are there moss/coir poles small enough for pots smaller than this? Oh and that leaf was unfortunately cut when I bought it lol.

I don’t think you need to downsize. I looks fine to me! You have it in a super chunky mix so I think it will be perfectly happy.

Yeah it’s putting out roots too so it seems happy. I was just really worried the pot was super big for it. 😅

Yep I agree with the other comment that the pot size looks good since you have chunky soil. But yeah I usually do wait for new leaves before repotting because I’ve had issues with new leaves getting “stuck” (and sometimes going bad) if I repot, since the plant will switch to focusing on re-establishing its roots.

I agree if a leaf is growing the plant must be happy :) My pot also seemed big for my plant, but I have a new leaf growing, and my first since getting my monstera. Do you just let the leaf do its thing and eventually untwist itself?

It should unfurl on its own with time
