Today I bought a monstera plant (monstera adansonii). The tag says small stature variety, does this mean it will not grow much bigger? Also, can someone explain why monstera plants sometimes have different leaves? Some leaves are complete and others have slits and mine have holes

    Monsteras will have different types of leaves in that particular variety. Most have holes, but some smaller ones will not. They can get very leggy if you let them. They can get very long, but their stems and leaves are not as thick as a deliciosa, making their statute smaller.

    This one is commonly known as a Swiss cheese monsters. If you give it a place to climb it will eventually get taller and seem more vine like than a traditional monstera

    The leaf fenestration (slits) are dependent on a few things. As your plant matures, the newer leaves will have more holes. Sometimes, if you see new leaves without fenestrations, it’s because they’re not getting enough light or conditions aren’t right. I’d give it some time and then see how the leaves are looking as it matures before you make any changes!

    I bought a very similar plant last week and I am still learning about it. I was wondering if I should leave it in the nursery pot or repot? Wait until Spring? Beginning of winter here but minimal frost.

      As long as you’re planting inside where it’s warm I’d say repot. I also do not know much though
