I was gifted this monstera but I am not great with plants. It’s beautiful & I want to keep it alive so please help me out. Any advice is greatly appreciated - I have no idea what I’m doing lol

    make yourself a moss pole using long-fibered sphagnum moss and chicken wire and strap that baby on with a little of it in the soil and the nodes touching the pole, don’t make it as big as the one i made on bottom lol (videos on tiktok are very helpful). give her bright indirect light and watch how fast she grows for you! water when the first few inches of soil are dry. can’t wait for updates in the future!

      thanks for the advice! should I go ahead & repot it or should I wait until it grows a bit more?

      if her roots are coming out of the bottom of the pot when i would repot but monsteras like to be a bit root bound but it would also be okay to repot her and get her onto a moss pole as you don’t want her to get too big without one

    I'd recommend repoting when you have time in a well draining mix-its not crucial but your plant will be much happier :)

      how big of a pot should I repot in?

      It depends on how big the root ball is, I generally only pot about an inch larger than the root ball
