Would a monstera do well near an eastern facing window? I would love to get one and that is the only place left to place one. It would be to the side of the window, next to it and less than a foot away, so probably no direct sunlight but good indirect light. I want to sneak one into my house when I go back to the plant nursery on Monday. (as if my family wouldn’t notice a monstera lol) Also, the one I am eyeing up has several aerial roots. Is that a good sign of a healthy monstera, and is it OK to remove them?

Every plant loves Eastern Sun I think. It’s the best for plants inside or out. A monsters would love it!

Yes just make sure to slowly acclimate it if your window is much brighter than its previous setting.

Depends on where you live. Eastern gets morning sun and is generally around 4-6 hours of light depending on the season. If you want double fenestrations and short internodes, the direct sunlight hours needs to be higher than 6. If you’re happy with the plant not dying there but not fenestrating and growing more like a long vine, then yes, it can.
