Any ideas what to do with this? Six leaves on one stem. It started out as one and just keeps growing more and more leaves on the one stem but it’s so too heavy it can’t stand on its own at all. There are a couple aerial roots. Should I chop and prop? And if so where should I chop it at?
If you’re willing to take on a project, you could put it on a moss pole! I make my own, with some cheap plastic chicken fence, zip ties, and sphagnum moss, but the main thing is that the roots need something damp to grow into and most of the ones you get off Amazon don’t allow for that. It wants to stabilize itself, and plus it’ll help it grow bigger leaves, and if you can get those aerial roots to grow into the pole a bit your cuttings will be more stable to propagate anyway. But here’s a picture of mine. Once it gets big enough I’ll either extend the pole or put it into a bigger pot.
