What type of pole do you guys use to prop up a monstera? Where do you typically get them?

I used a moss pole I got off of Amazon. Seems to be working well, but it's a delicate balance, keeping the pole wet and not over watering the plant.

i use a homemade moss pole and it’s literally the best thing ever, a plank of wood is fine since they grow up the sides of trees in nature but i feel that this gives them the best support! you can find a tutorial on how to make them on tiktok or maybe even find one on etsy:)

Ooo! I heard you have to water the pole. How do you do that? How does it absorb it?

they can go hydrophobic but it’s not too hard to get it back. i mist the outside of the pole and then take a small bottle or wine bottle and flip it upside down on top so the water slowly trickles in. misting the outside makes sure that the water doesn’t just run out the sides. good luck!

I was using moss poles but transitioned to cedar planks or bamboo stakes. Moss poles require extra work lol
