is it normal for new leaves to be droopy like this at first? it's only unfurled in the last week.

    Yes, that’s normal. The leaf will turn a bit darker and harden up as it develops. Congrats on a healthy new leaf!

      okay, thank you. this is my first monstera in several years, and my last attempt failed horribly 😅 just a worried plant dad lol. and thank you! super excited about the fenestrations- this is the first mature leaf!

    Yep. Totally normal. Especially when the leaves get bigger, they will sometimes droop. Nothing to worry about! It’s a gorgeous monstera.
