Hey guys! Does anyone know why this new leaf on my deliciosa has brown spots? I literally just checked it this morning and it was fine, clear with no brown spots. But this evening I noticed it has these brown spots, they don’t come off or rub off when I run my fingers on them. I hope it doesn’t damage the baby leaf before it has a chance to unfurl.

It looks like it might have either been damaged by pressing onto something or got water onto it. New leaves are very sensitive to water damage. Did you mist the plant?

I didn’t mist it, so couldn’t have been that. After reading up on it and seeing your/others comment, I think it got bruised when I moved the leaf ever so slightly away from the stem. I thought it looked squished and tightly woven, so I loosened it away from the stem. I did that in the morning, gently too lol but I guess even the slightest pressure or movement stressed the baby leaf.🍃 I hope its not damaged too much when it opens up. thank you for your reply!!
