Should I cut and prop one of these? They look like two separate plants to me.

Personally, I think it might be best to wait a while, until it has more leaves, to cut/prop a Monstera leaf/clipping. Not an expert on Monsteras though, might want to get another opinion confirming if you are able to :)

Why I think that the steam coming out from that big cut it might be a grow point from the bottom the problem if you try to divide is that aerial trot in top. Why I suggest is get it out of the pot gently and see if you can get that root from the top going into the soil directly and is going to depend if is long enough to do that. Next inspect the thin and long stem is coming from the big stem if they are and the small stem has plenty of roots I could say you can divide it. If you don’t have enough roots try to let the small aerial root that is emerging in water or use a cup with moist soil to speed the growth and once you get more root cut it off. Good luck

So should I put more soil in the pot where the aerial root is? Or just use the cup of water? Haven’t grown a root on its own so I’m curious

i think you can wait to prop/separate, these guys like being snug in their pots. it looks like it needs more light tho 🌱 good luck!
