Hi- can someone help me with my monstera? I changed the soil because of a suggestion that it had root rot. It’s still not doing well. Any suggestions? I just watered from the bottom yesterday. Thank you!

Mine just did the same thing. So I can’t wait for the comments because I don’t know what I did wrong.
0 J'aimeCould be several different things; as a heads up, monsteras love an airy soil mix otherwise it can get compacted and suffocate the roots! I usually do 1 scoop perlite, 2 scoops loose coconut coir, 3 scoops of nutrient rich potting soil, and 4 scoops of orchid bark. However, perlite, orchid bark and potting mix would be sufficient for proper aeration. Additionally, they love to be supported with a moss pole or stake of some kind tied around the base of the stem. Yellow leaves tend to indicate many different things such as possible overwatering or underwatering, a lack of proper light, possible pests such as mites or inefficient fertilizing (too much or too little). The drooping could also simply be transplant shock from repotting. Keep an eye on it and give it bright indirect light in a west or east window— in time you can prune the yellow leaves to encourage new growth! If it doesn’t recover, I would suggest taking it to a plant nursery to see if they can help you troubleshoot what’s wrong.
