HELP!!😭 one of my indoor plants had pests and so i got a neem oil spray and quarantined it but to be safe i sprayed and checked all of my other plants, it said it was safe to spray on leaves as well so that’s what i did from a distance but it hurt my monstera leaves really bad :( i had a new leaf that was in the process of opening when the other leaves were sprayed (i avoided the new leaf thankfully) yet it still hasn’t opened fully and it’s been about 3 weeks. do i chop off the other leaves to give more energy to the healthy leaves? to add: repotted about a month ago with no root rot, new growth is still occurring

That is very unfortunate! I had a similar but less severe experience with neem oil on a philodendron and learned my lesson. Neem oil can makes leaves more susceptible to light damage, the only thing that saved my philodendron was being under a grow light only. Now I just apply neem oil immediately after sunset. If you are unhappy with the look of the plant, I would chop and prop. I personally don’t mind my plants looking “distressed” as long as they are healthy and continuing to grow

i’ll leave them here until they go on their own! it catches a glimpse of light from my grow light on my shelf but seems to be doing fine otherwise. thank you so much!!

This happened to me when I didn’t completely wipe off the neem oil, caused horrific burns. I also made the mistake of doing it while my grow lights were on.

i will definitely make sure to not do this again😅😂 i think my spray might need to be diluted as well so maybe that was a factor also. thank you for making me feel better! i’ve been so stressed out about it 😂

No worries, the plant will definitely be fine!! Lol when I did this on my avacado sapling it completely eradicated the bug infestation so I guess it was a worthy sacrifice
