I recently cut a stem from my monstera deliciosa as one of the baby leaves turned completely yellow, and now where I cut has also turned yellow. Have I done something wrong and if so how do I fix it?! Any help is appreciated :)

Probably not. Since the leaf was yellow, the whole stalk was heading that way. It doesn't look like the cut is infected or anything, from like dirty shears. You could try and cut it closer. Usually they will just dry up and you can pluck them off. It may not being that close to the soil though. But it may get soft enough you can.

when you cut a leaf whatever part of the stem or petiole that is left will die off — this is normal
