Hi friends! So I’m still new to having my monstera, I have had her for over 2 months now and she was doing great at first but now I’ve noticed at the bottom of one of her stems, she’s turning brown and those specific leaves are starting to droop. Some leaves, not all- also have started to get some brown spots so I’m concerned. Any tips on how to help her🥺 Thank you!

might be over crowded in the pot. it looks like multiple plants potted together. check the roots and try to move the unhealthy one into its own pot! also make sure you’re not overwatering

also the soil looks quite compacted, maybe add some perlite or orchid bark

Yes def overcrowded. Time for repot or split the plants. I’d repot it into a bigger pot and keep it lush. It’s beautiful

Thank you so much 🥺 should I try to propagate it or no? I’ve been going back and forth- I had repotted it into that pot but there is just so much new growth that I didn’t know what to do with it

Depends if u want more plants. Either way, I’d put aside a couple hours one day, prep an area that will get messy, and pull the plant out the pot. I’d pull the plants apart a bit, not completely separate, just give them more space, and put in a bigger pot and fill with a chunky mixture. If u want more plants, completely separate the plants and pot them separately.

There may be some here that disagree, I’d keep it full cause it looks like small form Borsigiana, the leaves will not get gigantic like a Deliciosa. But I may be wrong

100% too many plants in that pot. I would thin them out, get better soil, and honestly cut off those baby leaves— they’ve served their purpose. The brown you’re seeing is just spent sheaths from from those were new.

Make sure you start a moss pole or something for it to climb. I made the mistake of not giving mine a way to climb and he went everywhere! Now I’m having difficulty getting him to “stand up.” I have him tied up now but it is a work in progress.
