Help! I found black powdery spots at the back of my monstera leaves. I wiped it off and sprayed neem seed oil. Does this help, or do I need to do anything else?

When you wiped them off did the paper towel look brownish red? Monstera’s are famous for having rust. I’ve been battling if for months (see my post below 👇) You did what I’ve been doing for months so, unfortunately, I don’t have any different advice 😞 Good luck!

Yes it did look like a brownish red, and it was on all leaves. I was afraid it might be fungus or something…😶 Thank you for responding.

rust cannot be treated except by removing the affected foliage unfortunately. when i received a monstera with rust i cut off the affected parts of mildly infected leaves and removed the entirety of any severely affected by the fungus
