   I’d wait for the secondary roots to start developing, especially if it’s hot where you are. I left mine until the roots looked like this, popped it in soil a few weeks ago and it’s doing well even with a series of ridiculous heatwaves. That looks like a lovely healthy root though! 😄

     Not from that photo, it looks great to me! Is it still firm where it’s brown? You can see how brown my big roots got, but they didn’t rot. Make sure the container is big enough to stay fresh and that you change the water regularly. Mine was in (I think) a 3 litre jar for three leaves this size, and I left it for a couple weeks more than once but I saw the difference in the water and algae on the roots when I did that. It was much happier when I changed it weekly. It’s far too hot here at the moment and mine has lost a bit of gloss this week but still seems healthy overall 🤞🤞🤞

   You definitely want to wait until there’s enough secondary roots to support the weight of the plant when you plant it, not that it won’t want/need support as well because they’ll need to settle in before it’s really stable, but also they typically do better with long term support anyways
