I just got this beautiful Monstera Thai constellation yesterday, and I canāt figure out why itās browning. This is my first plant so I know nothing about plant care and Iām praying she wonāt die. I donāt have anywhere inside to get reliable light source, so I do keep it outside, but I do move it as the sun moves to keep it in the shade and when it gets too hot or too cold, I do bring it inside.
She's in a new environment and has to get used to her home. Give her some sun/ fertilizer. She will be ok. But indoors.

The variegated part will scorch much more quickly than the green sections, so be careful about how much direct sun it gets! :)
4 gillningar I keep her out of the direct sun best I can, I move her when the sun hits where sheās sitting. And I just moved her inside for the day because itās 100* out

This looks like old overwatering damage, unless it just showed up. Here is a little care list you may find helpful Monstera Thai con (care ) Light - bright indirect Watering - twice a week if soil is mostly dry (very sensitive to overwatering) Soil - highly recommend repotting in a chunky soil mix Fertilizer- wait about a month or so before fertilizing but when you do use a light fertilizer for houseplants Humidity- needs to be 60-70% (highly recommend humidifier) Propagation - always propagate in areas with nodes , let dry out overnight and then place in water roots should start growing in a week or less. Leaf damage - brown spots are the most common check your plantās roots for rot, if none seen it could be old damage ( a more common color for old damage is a dry brown color that isnāt soft to the touch) variegated parts will spread the brown color if you do not like this carefully cut around the part of the leaf that is brown or cut off the leaf entirely.

0 gillningar You donāt need to cut the brown /dry parts because itās not spreading at all rapid rate itās a normal part of the growth process. This was just an example of what you could do

Are the brown pieces crunchy or soft? If they are soft, which it looks like they are, I would hold back on watering for awhile. Let the soil dry out between watering again. If they are crunchy, you either need to water them or they are getting too much sun. I saw you keep it out of direct sunlight though so it seems to be a moisture issue. Hopes this helps!
1 gilla Ps donāt cut the brown bits, they are now one with the plant unless they naturally flake off :) it wonāt damage the plant anymore than it already is
