Hi! I just picked up my first Monstera deliciosa Thai constellation from my local nursery. I understand that these guys like bright indirect light. I currently have it right up against my window that gets the morning sun. The rest of the day, according to the light meter on this app, it’s in part sun part shade. My kitchen downstairs has full sun but my problem is it tends be much cooler down there since the windows are kind of drafty. I want it grow HUGE leaves so my question is should I get it a grow light? Or will it be ok the way it is. Thank you! Update: forgot to mention that she’s on an east facing window. Unfortunately I don’t have any south facing windows.

Its gorgeous!! You can check it out 1st to see if its enough light in your east facing window. I think it should be fine there.

That should be fine. You may want to get some Silica to fortify the white portions from scorching. And research moss/mixed media poles. They really help with getting larger leaves

How many times should I water with silica? I have the same plan!

Yes, I’ve recently watched a video where they mentioned watering with silica helps the white leaves. How often should I water and what. Rand would you suggest?

I’m thinking of a moss pole. Seems that people have the best results with those.

I'm using Silica Gold right now. And I use it every watering. I use it on all my plants now too, regardless of varigation. It also helps fortify them against pests.

Do you dilute it further than the recommended dosage since you’re using it for every watering?

To grow big leaves just let the air roots grow into the soil. They send nutrients to the top and make each new leaf grow a bit bigger.
