How often do you have to repot your Monstera? I've had mine maybe 1.5 years if that and this is going to be the fourth time. I go up two sizes each time and wait until the roots are bulging the nursery pot as well as coming our of the bottom. I don't want to go too big that it stays too wet.

That has been my experience with them. If you want to keep them smaller you can cut off roots each time and stick it back in the original pot.

Thank you for the reply. Because of how quickly they grow, would I be safe jumping it up more sizes? I have it in an 8" pot right now and jumping up to a 12"

Yes, you’d just need to be more mindful about watering.

Probably as long as you’re paying close attention to watering. Larger pots stay wet longer.

I’ve actually read that monstera’s like smaller pots over bigger pots as they like their roots to be very snug.

Yeah I think this pot is way too small though. It's in a plastic nursery pot the the outside of the pot is all bumby from.the roots inside; they are a ton of roots coming out of the bottom as well

At the same time, we repotted our monsterra’s in a huge container a few years ago and they have been fine with that.
