Any idea why new leaves look so different? *backstory below* two super weird (SUPER cool!!) new leaves my monstera popped out! This one was a ‘zombie plant’ for the longest time (zero new growth for 4/5 months, no nodes in sight) then all of a sudden… those two super different leaves grew randomly just out of the soil!
I wonder if it’s getting enough light?
1 like Hm that could be it! My friend was taking care of it the past few months as I was on vacation so that might be it!

from my experience sometimes multiple nodes will activate on a young plant and unless you split them up only one will be actively growing
2 likes Oh weird/cool! When I bought it, it was just the two super green Thai con leaves - I didn’t split them up but maybe the person who sold it to me did?
