Hey Ellie! I’m definitely not an expert but I also recently got a Thai Con and he’s been doing great under a grow light for 12 hours, watering every two-ish weeks or whenever the top layer of soil is dry, and misting every week. Monsteras love humidity! I’ve had mine for two months and he’s given me two leaves under these conditions. Good luck! These are such amazing plants!
0 Mi piaceOh my gosh thank you so much! Do you have any grow light recommendations as it’s currently on my southeast facing window?:)
0 Mi piaceOf course! I honestly don’t remember the specific brand of grow light I bought, but they’re just cheap ring grow lights off of Amazon. I was skeptical at first because most of the ones I saw were pretty expensive, but these ones were in the $20-40 range if I remember correctly and they work like a charm! My Thai Con doesn’t really get any sunlight, it’s just direct artificial light for 12 hours (I also have a second grow light for other plants right next to it, which may help as well). Whichever way you choose to give light to your plant, just make sure it gets plenty, otherwise it’ll lose it’s variegation since it needs the green parts to photosynthesize, so it’ll naturally choose greener leaves over the pretty pale coloring to thrive.
