Anybody know what is causing these patches? No sign of pests and I water regularly
Mine got the yellow spots and it did turn out to be thrips 😬. They had burrowed into the bottom of the stem, maybe an inch above the root ball—I also didn’t see any with my own eyes. Ended up clipping until the stem bled, dipped in rooting hormone, and popped it in water. I gave the whole plant a good soak in hydrogen peroxide/ water solution and now have very healthy roots. I didn’t see the pests until I soaked her, they looked like fine dust floating on the top of the water bath. But I’ve also seen many other people suddenly having problems like this with their monsteras.
