Hi All, I repotted my Monstera Deliciosa from an 8in pot to a 12in. It really needed it, it was practically all roots. The new pot is a V shaped pot (It needed more room width wise) and I have some new roots that are somewhat exposed after repotting. I’m concerned about adding too much more soil because of root rot. Thought I’d ask the forum. I’ve seen huge exposed aerial roots before so I think it might be ok like it is. Thoughts? 😃

    Looks good to me! I don’t see any roots exposed..? Aerial roots are just that… aerial, meaning they’re supposed to grow above the soil. They will stay exposed. Here’s mine to give you an idea of what the aerial roots could look like as it all grows. 🌿

      This is a stunning monstera! Is there a correlation between the more aerial roots the healthier the plant? Mine is really healthy and nice looking but I really don’t have that much aerial roots. I guess I just answered my own question but I would love to see more aerial roots on mine 🥲

    I see why you went from an 8” to a 12” to accommodate the stem growing horizontally. Looks like a chunky soil mix (great!). I would just keep an eye on potential over watering because of the size of the pot. You might also consider staking it now. It will result in larger leaves and better overall growth if it has something to climb. Looks healthy!
