I’m repotting my monstera. Which size is best, 6” (terracotta pic) or 8”? It’s been in the 6” for over 2 years and I need new soil, it seems like it’s still the best size, right?

I'd go with the 8", was it root bound before?

I was planning to put it into a 6” ceramic pot instead of the 6” terracotta it’s been in, but the roots were bigger than I thought.
0 J'aimeI would put it in an 8inch pot since it looks pretty root bound. It may take some time to grow new leaves but then you won't have to do it next year.

Thank you! I chose the 8” in the end 🙏🏼 Hoping for growth!
0 J'aimeRule of thumb is to go up a size if you have over 50% roots as compared to soil.

Definitely 8”. Might be able to get away with a 9”… If its about 1” or 2” inches bigger then the pot it was in recently (or even the roots- i go by pot size) then youll be good to go :)
