Hey y’all! I neglected this poor dude so now I’m trying to figure out how to save him. I would love to get back to a fuller plant. Should I cut the stem and propagate? Will that kill him? Any suggestions would be great!

That one looks like it might push out a leaf. I would give it good light and it may bush out. If not you can always air layer just below where its bushy. And then plant it. And then cut up the remaining nodes, back to the 'butt cutt' and make each 1 or 2 nodes a new plants, plus the original bases. Then plant them back into 1 pot if ypu love a bush

To add to what Wolfen said, when propagating, you can use rooting hormone to help ensure the propagation works if that’s what you end up doing. Also, it does look like a new leaf might be growing in the second picture!

I’ll leave the little guy alone for a bit longer and see what he does.

if you wanna keep her on a pole then I’d switch to sphagnum moss one so she can get rooted in it and start growing

I just discovered those! Forgive me if this is a dumb question, when you water the moss does that also water the plant or do I water the plant and moss all at once?

I water poles with watering bulbs (get the ones with holes on top) when dry (usually around 1-2/week) and water the pot as scheduled
