I bought this plant yesterday. The nursery told me to use the bumper crop soil to replant it and add a layer of rock to the bottom of the pot (so I know they don't know best practices clearly) I want to give this thing the BEST chance. Its current in a west facing window in my bedroom. I know it needs to be repotted, but I'm not sure what to use. I've included photos of the soils I have, and the readings I got with my new little Meter. Help me give this beauty a chance!

I bought a Thai Con a few days ago but i have a monstera deli that’s been solidly growing (and a few books) that im basing my care from. Using a very chunky soil (1 part chunky perlite, 1 part orchid bark, 1.5 part Foxfarms Ocean Soil.) I make sure the sun doesn’t hit it but gets a lot of indirect light and i bought a humidifier that makes sure that it stays atleast 60% humidity. That’s just what i’m doing lol Grain of salt, but i hope this helps!

Last time I repotted, I did coco choir, perlite, and then orchid mix. My gal has done fabulous with it.

This is the best aroid mix I’ve found for a decent price. Excellent drainage and soilless.

My Thai con is currently living in a 50-50 mix of the orchid mix you have & a topical potting soil. I would bet a 50-50 mix of the orchid mix and the potting soil would work similarly. If you were concerned about it holding onto water too long you could try a 60-40 mix of orchid mix and potting soil. The pot I used has drainage, and I water it when a bamboo skewer shows it’s approximately 2/3 dry. She lives in the east window of my bedroom and seems to be a big fan of the morning light.
