Anyone have any ideas as to why my new leaves all grow with the ends of the stems bent DOWN?? The first pics is a really old leaf it had when I got it I think and the other two are the newer leaves. Does this happen to anyone else’s?

I believe this is just the way the monstera is trying to get the most leaf surface area into the sun. 🌞 I’ve definitely seen it on big monsteras before! *** I’m not an expert so I’d welcome corrections from anyone else 😉***

I mean it makes sense! I was kinda thinking that like the leaves are bent to get light that comes in from the window or the grow light. Maybe if I had a hanging grow light or a grow light directly above they would bend up.

I was just contemplating this with mine since it seems to really want to face backwards (since that’s where the window is). I did add a grow light lower and the new leaf looks like it’s trying to use it 🤷‍♀️

I’m not an expert either, but this seems to be what mine does as well!

Light. The petial is moving with the light. If you move the plant so it has a wider view of the window with brighter light from above the leaves will lift up.

      I figured 😅 I wish I could move it!
