New monstera owner and Iām not sure what these marks are. Obviously bug bites on two of the picture but Iām unsure of what caused it so I can treat. The uniform marks on the fenestrated are whatās throwing me off, theyāre on a couple of leaves and Iām not sure what the cause isā¦ itās a healthy plant that is putting out new leaves, I just separated it and itās doing good other than the marks and bug bites it had when I bought it. Any help would be appreciated!
Have no fear! Just abuse from time & nature (the time holes and damage on the edges mainly) and someone also with long finer nails apparently pinched that leaf earlier in its lifeš It will be okay!
3 gillningar So basically battle scars haha! I can get behind that! I figured it was healthy because Iāll see guttation for a few days after Iāll water it and itās putting out new leaves! Thanks!

The marks on the fenestrated leaf look like some sort of mechanical damage from when it was unfurling which is common. Sometimes too much light can cause little holes in the leaves where it looks like something āateā them, but thatās not what yours looks like to me. If itās getting super direct light from a west facing window or something, it could be that, but otherwise Iād agree with Auxsman that theyāre just normal wear and tear or someone accidentally pinching the leaf.
3 gillningar It was in a greenhouse at the nursery I picked it up from and itās actually in an east facing window
1 gilla that sounds like a perfect spot! itās probably not too much light, just the other normal wear and tear things.
