I finally did it. I’ve been waiting for the universe to choose me 😂 first time monstera owner. I’m familiar with plants but is there anything I should keep in mind for this baby?

Chunky soil is good. Think of like a rainforest floor, very aerated and breathable, but almost always a bit damp. 2 parts Coco chips/orchid bark, 1 part pumice/perlite, 1-2 parts Coco coir, bit of long fibered sphagnum if you want. If the soil is chunky enough you won't be able to overwater it, but you'll have to water very often. Also, don't worry too much about humidity unless it's bone dry where you live. They will acclimate just fine to average household humidity.

They don’t like change. Period. Just let it chill and water when it’s totally dry and you should be good to go! Maybe get it a moss pole if it needs help to stand up properly.
