My monstera is thriving! She’s 3-4 years old that I brought home from Puerto Rico. She loves this spot however I’m showing it’s time to repot and I repotted her in the ceramic pot about a year ago. Is it time to really repot and how big should the new pot be? My goal is to get her into a pot that I can have on the floor instead of the riser. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks 😊
time depends on how the roots look. if you take them out and they still have wiggle room, i'd leave it be. they like to be tight in the pot. you should give it fresh soil, though, as when soil gets too old it can't retain moisture like it should. whenever you do repot, only go 1-2 inches larger than the root ball, and that applies to all plants

I definitely agree with the comment above but I wanted to add that even if it is a little root bound leaving it in there is still an option, especially with monsteras Ive found that it really just depends on what you want to plant to focus on. Leaving it a little root bound (which they usually don’t mind and actually like) will lead to more leaves production, repotting it usually triggers the plant to put more energy towards roots. But again monsteras generally like tighter pots so i definitely wouldn’t worry too much!
