Does anyone know what’s wrong with my monstera? She hasn’t grown any new leaves since I got her (6 months ago) and all the leaves she has are turning yellow and brown. I went to finally cut the leaves off and just from touching them they fell off, so it seems it had spread to the stem too. (I don’t have my own photo so the one on the right is from google to show u guys what the leaves where turning to.) the leafs sort of just flop around now and I don’t know what to do anymore, do u guys have any ideas?

I hope someone more skilled than me answers, because I’m fairly new at this but it might be under watering? They like pretty high humidity I think too, so that could play a part in the leaves turning this way. I’m so sorry this is happening to your plant! I hope you find some answers.

Best thing to do would be to check the roots, the soil may be too water retentive. Do you water frequently?

This plant was recently placed in a space where it didn’t get much sunlight. But I was still watering it frequently. I’ve moved it to a better spot now where it can reach the sun better. That was most likely the reason.

The roots are sitting in water , repot the plant ! Chunky soil mix orchid bark, potting soil, and perlite . Refrain from watering for a few days after repot because it’s over watered. Get a humidifier and give her a cup of water day 3… then back to your regular watering schedule. My monstera loved her new soil hope this helps !

Update! I just bought some new stuff for her to make a chunky soil mix for better drainage. I bought perlite, orchid mix, and some indoor potting soil. I’m also going to drill some more holes in the bottom of the pot, thanks for the help! ❤️❤️
