Hi! My husband got my my first Monstera, and it’s a Thai - yay! I have since repotted and given a mix of tropical soil and perlite, but the ends of the leaves are still a bit curled in and the newest leaf is still looking limp. It came this way, but I was hoping it would improve at this point (2 weeks post re-pot). Is this just how they look, or is it missing something? It gets about 8 hours of light per day via grow light.

Curling leaves could be related to lower humidity levels. As for the limp new leaf, the brighter green color compared to the older leaves makes me think it’s still “hardening off” or maturing as they say. Looks like a healthy Thai con monstera so far!

Thanks for the feedback!! Is misting enough to help with humidity or do these need more?

Some people say periodic misting works for them, others lean towards getting a humidifier for a more constant elevated humidity. I don’t do either for my Thai con and it’s been doing fine with the ambient humidity in my house, though its leaves do curl some which I’m ok with lol… As long as it’s getting a good amount of light for most of the day and watering when the top 25-50% of the soil is dry (I use a plastic chopstick) they seem to be pretty hardy.
