Hi! I’m hoping for some advice on my monstera. I feel like it might be overcrowded, there’s about six plants within one 12 inch pot. I’ve had it for about two years and just repotted it for the first time about two months ago. Despite many hours of trying I wasn’t able to separate the plants during that time. The only issues I’ve noticed is that there’s a lot of overlap of the leaves and one of the plants is backwards. It’s relatively healthy, the roots looked good when I repotted it and it very regularly puts out new leaves. Should I do something about the overcrowding or just leave it unless it becomes a problem? Thanks so much for any answers and advice!

Divided up into two plants per pot and support it with a cedar board so It can climb up

She is def overcrowded, but also.. so big it would be an all-day affair to separate the level of tangled I can only guess this is lol. You need like one or two good friends, some takeout and something to binge watch in the background while y’all argue with a whole lot of roots lol. i might suggest a tarp under a kiddie pool for this one 😂

Also, don’t be afraid to cut the root ball if you need to. It’ll all come back. Just make sure you rake out all the cut roots, cause they’d just rot and potentially cause problems
