HELP! My monstera Esqueleto cutting is rotting! It might be save-able but I need opinions! WHAT SHOULD I DO!

    I'd nip a bit off the end (sterile shears) and treat it with a fungicide, let it callus. Then prop it however you were. If it was in water. Sterilize whatever it was in too

      THANK YOUUUUUU A BUNCH! I love this plant! I have it in perlite have been waiting for the roots to grow more! So thank gosh I checked on the roots before it got worse !

      It doesn't look super rotted, so i think it'll be fine. That side piece looks fairly normal browning. Was it drier? That may be why it split. I try to drench the perlite initially, otherwise it can draw out some moisture

      Ahhh see that's exactly why more than likely because yes it was drier! I will definitely drench it!!! I also bought it off Facebook marketplace so I'm assuming she just cut this top cutting and plopped it right in moss so of course it would rot ! I should've thought about that 😄 ( I don't like moss much but starting to get the hang of it )

      Oh gotcha. I really like the perlite, but it definitely had a learning curve for me. It's very different from moss or fluval as far as moisture

    Put a cap full of peroxide in the water, it doesn’t look bad now but the peroxide will clean it and keep air in the water. I think it’ll be fine, just give it time
