Say hello to my newest baby #38 :) I’ve been avoiding these because I know they are toxic, but I’ve placed this one. I have on a planter where no one can get to it. Is this definitely a Swiss cheese Monstera? The majority of my house plants are Kalithea with a few succulents, but never a Monstera. Any and all tips are welcome. Also, how will this plant do in bright light, but still far away from my window?

It’s definitely a monstera, and the plant itself likes bright indirect light I have mine about 2 feet from my window. See how it does, if it starts to yellow or look to sad I would say move him closer to the window :) They’re pretty nice plants and have been pretty forgiving at least from my experience.

Mine is right in a east facing window. I would get a trellis or moss pole and so it will keep it stable and then it will grow nice instead of unruly and messy.

This is what Swiss cheese leaves are shaped like… more narrow and asymmetrical…
