Just repotted my girl Minnie. I’ve had her for about 9 months now and she had the smaller leaves and has sprouted 5large leaves but they were growing out instead of up. I finally put her on the floor today and added this support.. but I’m reading a moss pole is best. What size? Also.. any other tips to get my babe to grow up?

Yeah I have a Swiss cheese and monkey mask that just grows wide and not up so far 😩 I'm not sure if I'm going to do a bamboo stake or what I was thinking of moss poles but they seem like a lot of after I watched a million videos one of the girls gave up even doing them at all at the end of 5 years lol I do know they say to use the clear plastic ones with high quality spagnum moss

I see a lot of people go back and forth with poles. Most of the biggest plants i see have them though. The ones that have a backing are good too, to keep in moisture. One person i follow on YT also uses moss mixed in with orchid bark and #4 perlite, he said it really cuts down on the cost off moss!! Which I'm all for

I love this trellis! Moss poles (not coir coconut poles) are great for leaf growth on these. I usually recommend to get one as tall as the plant. And ideally one that can be expanded.

What kind of trellis? See I'm legally blind and a really bad way and I just don't know if I could honestly finagle putting the water on the top of the Moss poles 🙄😩🤷‍♀️ those son already went down so this isn't a very good picture of the color but it keeps getting like a yellow leaf but dies and I feel like it's a really light light green I don't know what I'm doing wrong

You may do better with one that has a water reservoir at top then. Or one of the ones that has a cotton wick that runs down the center of the pole, and into water.

Is it okay to grow these without poles only a bamboo stick for support? Or do they have to have something for the aerial roots? Is it okay to mist monsteras daily to keep the humidity going I do have a humidifier in the sunroom and a heater and it stays around 66 degrees in the winter and it's going to be in the 70s on up as it's warming out but I keep it nice and toasty and humid for them I just feel like they like the moisture on their leaves am I wrong?

I don't know of any plant that absolutely needs a pole or staking. I have moss poles mainly because I like really large leaves. And I like to see plants climb and vine around. I do mist most of my mostera species, usually every other day to every few days
