a few leaves on my monstera are tinted yellow i’m assuming from overwatering, but i used a skewer and the soil is very dry almost to the bottom of the pot. should i water now? wait a bit? i don’t know what he wants 😭

i normally wait till the soil is completely dry to water, so if it’s damp at all, wait a bit to water. any yellowing leaves i cut off since they won’t go green again and don’t want the plant putting energy into a dead leaf when it could be growing a new one.

That actually looks more like a fungus from overwatering consistently. Let it fully dry out to the bottom of the pot and then water with a diluted copper fungicide. The leaves with yellowing and crisping won't go back to normal again, but it should prevent the spread of the fungus to the rest of the plant

will do ! do you have a copper fungicide to recommend?

Also I’d check the roots as they are prone to root rot.

it is sitting in a corner right next to a north facing window. recently i have been keeping the curtains shut though. it is in just regular indoor plant potting mix. i have some orchid bark i could add, would that help at all?
