Is it normal for monsteras to lose their baby leaves as they get older? One of the small leaves at the bottom of my plant is turning yellow

I’m not sure for monsteras specifically but I do know this is a common thing amongst many houseplants! They typically will lose their oldest leaves as they continue to grow

it looks like your monstera needs to be repotted and adjusted. i think that leaf died because it wasn’t getting much light. typically you want the support behind the plant, with the leaves facing towards the light source. some lower leaf shedding is normal over time but i think your monstera will thrive with some adjustment

Most of my leaves are facing the light. They’re facing my window. It’s hard to tell because it was nighttime when I took the photo

i can see that, i was referring to the dead leaf and the plant behind it that is behind the support. the stems can photosynthesize too which is part of why i suggested having the plant in front of the support

Yes, that small yellow leaf is normal. It’s old and dying. Mine had one too. Nothing to worry about.
