That's an aerial root. Perfectly normal for monsteras

The green thing is an aerial root? Aerial roots are typically skinny and brown. This looks like something else

Oh I thought you were talking about the aerial root below that. So that is a stem that is stuck. Usually happens when the humidity is lower when it comes out. Very common in philodendrons. I would use a wet qtip to gently pry it out or mist the area once a day for about a week and if that doesn't help it come out easily, use the qtip method
