My Adansonii did a “fun” little thing where her arm separated before Christmas. My hope is to eventually accumulate her back to a pot with the rest of the plant. I know she’s needs a bit more growth from her nodes, and the steps for her to move from water to soil. My curiosity is, how root bound do yall let your monkey mask get? The primary plants I have also are becoming root bound, “growing feet”— I live in a very cold region, and have radiator heat (e.g., they live on pebble trays 😅). Given the feral energy pre-holidays, is she giving me the heavy hint she’s ready to be repotted? (I was hoping to combine her in the spring with another mature adansonii). Any suggestions, or feedback welcomed.

I don’t have an Adansonii (yours is gorgeous) but do have other monsteras, philos, pothos, etc. I’ve heard mixed messages about repotting in winter, but many houseplant experts I trust have told me it’s ok to do if the plant is giving you clear signs it needs it before spring. I’m repotting a pothos that’s got roots bursting out of its container now bc I don’t think he’ll wait until spring!
