Any number of things could be happening. It’s hard to know without more context. What’s your watering schedule like? Does the pot have drainage holes? Is the plant getting proper light? Have you checked for pests? I would suggest checking those things and also cutting off the yellowed leaves.

This app gives me a watering/misting schedule - I also don’t water if the dirt is still moist. I have great lighting in my apartment. No pests and I also use pest control in my potting mix. I guess drainage could be an issue? I thought the pot I was using took care of that tho. If I put rocks or something at the bottom would that help?

Hmm, that’s weird :( Does the pot have holes? If it doesn’t, putting rocks in the bottom won’t help much. Is the soil mix itself chunky enough? If it’s too fine or lacks amendments, the roots don’t get enough air. You may want to check for root rot.

What do I do if there’s root rot?
0 likesDefo looks somewhat over watered, switch to a pot with drainage holes, the soil at the bottom of the pot might just be sitting there, also don’t listen to the schedule the app gives you, put a wooden cocktail stick in the pot and when it’s wet, don’t water when it’s dry water. Over time you’ll get a feel for the plant and its needs!! Also check the roots for rot 🫶

whenever i suspect root rot i do a few things: take the plant completely out of the pot and separate as much of the soil from the roots as possible. if i think the rot is bad or the plant is hardy enough i’ll dip/wash the roots in a mixture of 1/2 water and 1/2 hydrogen peroxide. after removing all the old soil i’ll get some new, fresh soil and pot it as you normally would. hope this helps!
