Sorry to post again but I am really nervous about this plant not surviving. I knocked it off its soil roots and then chopped up and have been rooting in water. Is this enough to go into soil?

I would wait for secondary roots to grow. But those look like good healthy roots! 2-4” is the minimum length you want to have before potting into soil. The longer you can wait, the better.

Okay. Thank you! I would rather wait than fail.

i find it helpful to transfer plants to semi-hydro between water and soil. pure hydroponic roots are delicate and prone to breakage and rot. allowing them to acclimate to a semi-hydroponic set up (such as perlite or leca) helps strengthen the roots to prepare for soil, and acclimate them to a less wet environment. i usually transfer my cuttings to semi-hydro at about this point, then plant in soil once there are plenty of secondary roots

That’s a great idea. I have both so will do so. I really don’t want to lose this plant.

So I put in leca and perlite and the roots are growing super fast. Great advice!
