I need some help. A few months ago I repotted my beloved monstera and built him a proper moss pole. It’s rooting into the pole and I assume it’s spending energy rooting into the bigger pot. BUT I’ve not had new leaf growth since and worse, all my leaf tips are crisping! It’s in the same light as always, moss pole stays wet, I try to mist daily. Why is he declining?? 😩

This can happen in normal conditions. Lots of people just trim those bits off. If you’ve done a thorough look for pests, I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Just keep an eye on it. Remember social media is a lie……it’s one moment in time of a plants life.

Give him a little more time and I bet he’ll nestle into his new home and be happy. If you have the same conditions as before, I wouldn’t worry too much. You may want to try a humidifier instead of misting, as it mimics closer to its natural environment. Also, when watering, you may want to try filtered water if you don’t already. 🌿

So my monstera puts a new leaf out once every 3 months. They’re perfectly healthy but they do it to get inside your head. They’re little monsters after all. 👀😈

Thank you! I’ll give him some time and try filtered water!
