okay guys. i’m going to be honest. i’m not 100% sure how to take care of a monstera to the best of my abilities. i’d really like some tips and pointers. i also wanted to know what exactly i should get to tie/help hold my monstera up. as you can see she’s very droopy. i know moss poles but have heard mixed reviews about them. i really want to get her looking the best she can because i love monsteras a ton but i feel like im not doing a great job caring for her. any tips or pointers help! she does have three new babies on her!

Those are some great fenestrations your monstera has!! good job!! about the sprawly look, I’d take a good close look at the base of the plants, it seems to me that you have multiple monsteras growing in one pot. While this can be fine, I find what happened with mine (two monsteras growing in one pot), was that the leaves were growing atop one another and weighing the other leaves down, creating a droopy/crowded look. Id separate any monstera into singular pots (keeping in mind you’ll most likely need smaller pots seeing as there will be a lot less roots) and as for a support, *literally* anything will do, as long as it’s wide enough to cover the width of the nodes! I have 3 monsteras, 1 baby growing on a plank, one on a moss pole and one older plant on a plank. The wooden planks seem to do much better, but my moss pole was very cheap and it’s very small, so take my opinion with a slight grain of salt:)

another thing, is the light source coming from the window? Leaves will always move to face the light source, so having the leaves facing away from the light source can make them face in craaazzyy directions, creating a super wild look! Id see if you could potentially move the monstera somewhere against a wall with the leaves facing the light source ;)

You might want to cut of the yellowing/ dead leaves. Make sure to check the roots to see if they are ok, and it LOVES sunlight. Like mine is sitting informe of my window and it’s thriving :)

Think you need to nvest in moss pole ! Twinge and clips/wire to give those stems support. Your leafs looks crisp and they say from drought and then over watering happens to me too. Give your Monstera something to climb on well drained soil too! Orchid mix with tropical soil & perspire. Good Luck!
