I have a moss pole that I am planning to attach to this monstera… any tips or tricks?

    use a very sturdy pole if you want to attach that entire thing to it. one with just plastic netting and moss (like mine) will most definitely bend and snap the stems once it starts growing up it and making larger leaves. if you’re using one close to what i have, attach only one plant to it so it’s got less of a chance to bend, but make sure it’s bigger than the plant so it’s got plenty of room for new growth, which i did not do unfortunately. the new leaf on mine is what it just sent out after attaching itself with it’s aerial roots; much bigger than previous leaves so i’m going to have to stabilize the pole and add an extension to it. can’t wait to see an update to yours once you attach it! (the florida green on the pole beside if it has bent and fell over many times but luckily it has not snapped a stem)

    I would make sure your pole is quite a bit taller than your current length so that it has plenty of room. Best time to do it is when you repot. I opted for two thick wooden dowels from the home improvement store. Put them all the way down in the pot for stability. When I originally planted them and attached them with plant Velcro, the poles were like a foot taller than the plant. Here’s an up close of some of the Velcro attachment. Hope this helps! 🌿
