Just received my baby Monstera Thai 😊 so excited to see you grow 🌿. Any advice is well appreciated😊 It’s still in a little 6cm pot and I realise the pot I got (22cm) might be too big. Should I repot it somewhere smaller? I thought I might give it a few days before I repot as the soil is still moist.
hi! I would recommend holding off until your thai is about to outgrow its current pot. they’re prone to root rot, and the last thing you’d want to do is plant it in something too large. repotting can also cause a lot of stress so it’s best to wait until it’s fully acclimated to your home. i know these guys are pricey (from experience) so you’re better off safe than sorry. if you don’t like the look of the nursery pot, maybe try popping the whole thing into a cachepot for now. my best advice for you is lots of humidity and bright indirect light, and starting use of a moss pole so you can encourage more mature growth. btw, if you’re experienced with LECA, i’ve seen people have lots of success with thais in semihydro 👀.
